Natural Villages Mission:  To help construct our sustainable future; restore environments and cultures through low impact, low cost and totally natural sustainable community developments… use earth based construction methods to promote the end of poverty and homelessness. Earthen homes constructed around food production gardens and  greenhouses. Successful human development model 10,000 years and still being used joyfully in remote places on our planet. We seek to provide this stable, life affirming option for everyone who senses the value of living in true balance with nature, consciousness and communities of people we love deeply.  We seek donations of trashed, damaged or any land base where recovery into its natural life and wild food producing condition can host earth homes as well. Help recover our landscapes and communities with safe, natural, beautiful no cost housing and free food from community shared labor.

HOW OUR BUILDING and SUSTAIN ABILITY CAMPS WORK:

The Building Guide: is the one who shows the group

how to follow the village building plan.

This person has been verified as a natural building expert.

He/She has been certified as competent by our organization,

and holds a certificate to show this.

He is paid by the month.

All Building Camps Sustain Learners and Villagers:

We consider our camps to be educational centers for compassionate

village – style economic, environmental and cultural recovery for any community.

Participants become eligible to work and live within the natural villages

village building circles….a community hoop of village building and

learning for families.

COST: $250 per seven day week, per learner, paid to NV before arrival.

This can be given at a donate button on this site or paid by check or money order put into the mail to:

Those who give financial support are creating a foundation and a backbone for this home and village delivery system. You are our heroes, and we will, indeed honor you. How we choose to do this, may become a surprise!!!! WE LOVE SURPRISES! So why not join us, help us, or keep us in your prayers. Thank you. Obrigada. Pilamaya. Gracias. Bitte.

ALL donations and payments go to providing homes and gardens to those who need them most.   WE are deeply grateful you took this healing action on our (your) behalf.

~ All learners bring all weather camping gear, and food donations to cover this week.

~ All learners must be of age 18 or accompanied by another learner-parent or guardian.

This money only goes toward paying for hosts, guides, houses, gardens and villages.

What learners receive: education about the method and process of building all stages

We are currently working towards credit and unit provision for students.

of a natural, earth based home with a greenhouse and gardens. Information received depends on project stage ie; foundation building, wall building, plastering, window installation, are all activities determined by building stages. One week is adequate time to learn one building process such as “foundations” or, “plastering walls”, etc…

A learner will receive an “hours of experience” certificate.

This certificate will also outline this person’s obvious strengths.

For learners who have completed a full month, they will receive a letter of

recommendation that outlines their strengths, focus of experience and

depth of knowledge. All full – time participants receive this.

Even family members who are hosting this camp.

A learner will receive a letter of recommendation after each completed month.

An experienced learner can apply to be a paid building guide :

after completing three total house and village constructions, with clearly outlined strengths and competencies which are recorded in the letter of recommendation.

The camp building guide will be giving certificates and letters of recommendations that will be sent to you from NV, after the completion of your stay.

To REGISTER FOR A CAMP, or to ASK QUESTIONS about the camps, please use the mailing address listed above. Or email

Johanna@natural-villages.org

You can call

831-425-3393

and leave your questions there, and someone from our organization will call you back as soon as possible. This is the best way to verify that we received your application, payment or gift.

Currently we have camps ongoing in Wounded Knee, and in the Santa Cruz mountains where we are supporting the fire survivors who lost everything and cannot afford the profoundly expensive building permits issued by Santa Cruz County.

HOSTS and FAMILIES OF CORE SUPPORT VILLAGES:

HOSTS will earn $1,000 per month for their work.

The host is someone from the family of the onsite village. For Pine Ridge residents, the village is chosen by a first come, first serve basis according to the applications turned in for core support.

Families that meet our criteria; ie; they have a building site with available clean water, and a deed for the land; or a letter of permission to build from the owner of the land.

This person is in charge of making sure campers are comfortable, meals are timely, and the plans for garden, greenhouse, home are attended to, while the family contributes in the ways that feel most comfortable to everyone onsite.

The host is paid $1,000 per month to supervise comfortable feelings and activity, general organization, meal planning and cooking for the group.

I am needing to reach Leola. This is Patt from Florida. I have tried to reach you as I have some important info for you. My home number is the same 7724605138. Speak into the answering machine as we have a business now and people call at all hours so we screen our calls. I think I may be able to help with your greenhouse project. I love this website. It is the first time I found it. Yet it looks like it has been here for a while. Please call me soon. It is important that we speak. I just hope you have access to email these days.
I know this winter was very hard for the reservation. I prayed everyday for your people that they may stay warm. If I dont hear from you in the next few days I will mail you a letter. PS I have also been watching the stillborn deaths as you spoke of.I have been watching the stats. All of that will come out in the end. I promise You. But in the meantime we need to get your greenhouse up and running and Dave is working on how to easily build earthen homes – traditional round ones that will not go down with the rainfall. LOL
I have thought of you every day since I saw you last and know that we are working towards helping you reach your goals.
