Hi there,

I am Lies Bot from the Netherlands, I visit the U.S.A a couple of times. I have been to Rocky Boy Reservation to visit a friend and to a meeting in Sedona called the Four Wisdom Gathering. There where a few elders and a lot of "seekers". I was really amazed that so many people believed that just praying was enough to make things better for the native american people.
Russell Means was there too. I like his approach.
Ofcourse it is most important that the native american culture should be teached to all native American children. But I also understand that with a empty stomach and a polluted body, it is a hard thing to do. I also understand that there is an defensive attitude, because the white people first took your land, your food, your children and your culture. On top of that several people explore your spiritual inheritance. Like "become" a shaman in one weekend" I am not bitter, my heart is with you all. I try to walk my path and maybe we meet eachother in future.

Hey,
When are you guys going to finish the house at Wounded Knee ? It's been 3 years at least. Every time I go visit, it still looks the same. The winter up there is very bad this year and they have no heat. The kids are really having a hard time. Luckily, Leola has been getting better, you know she had metal poisoning from mercury, aluminum, and cadmium from the water.
Are you still raising money for that project? The whole reservation is waiting to see it finished; it could be a solution to alot of problems there.

ADMIN: Another Cob house is going up in Manderson at the Weasles place. Shannon was a former volunteer and she is bringing House Alive! out to do projects and workshops to finish the Weasles house as another example. We stopped working to finish Leolas house after they deconstructed it when NV teams were offsite and the house finishing team failed to complete the roof. Perhaps someone will approach House Alive! to finish at Leolas. After our Architect tried working with her and designing an eagle house with her, Leolas need for steel girders as a roof structure stopped making sense to us and we gave up, literally.

It sounds good, I love the simplicity. Your posts are easy as a pie and really attractive at the same time.

To be honest with you, I have never written any comments or posts in the Internet. This is my first time. Why did I decide to post? The answer is simple – all information here is so amazing and interesting that it’s hard to imagine someone wouldn’t comment it.

I hear your pain. I want to help.

Johanna replies:

Of course you may share them! Just use the same credits that you see posted...

bringing helpers to promote the building sustainability camps in wounded knee, and on other reservations is s good way to bring simple solutions, as well...as you can see the pain comes from broken homes...
which is a plague that has spread around the world, actually....broken families re-forming and working to be healthier so fewer children cry out like this, and continue being unheard...

love...without conditions...
necessary to become effective at bringing solutions...
please do continue to connect and support!
thanks!
